Here we can see palmitoyl oleoyl phosphatidyl choline, a phospholipid common in biologic membranes .
 This phospholipid is composed of
a glycerol backbone linked to a phosphate , linked in turn to a choline molecule (N,N,N-trimethylethanolamine).
The glycerol is esterified to two fatty acids: oleic acid (18:1)  and palmitic acid (16:0)  .
Spacefilling model:  . From now on, hydrogen atoms will be omitted to simplify the display: 1)  2)  3)  .
